why is we Americans?
Directed by Udi Aloni and Ayana Morris. Produced by Oren Moverman and Lauryn Hill. This documentary became my first acquisition for Corinth Films and I was in charge of PR and outreach during its theatrical release in New York City and Los Angeles.
'Why Is We Americans' is a prolific portrait of an American writer Amiri Baraka and his family spanning decades of social activism, poetry, music, art and politics.

What an awesome conversation between two directors. Maggie Gyllenhaal (The Lost Daughter) and Kira Kovalenko (Unclenching The Fists) discuss their features at The 59-th New York Film Festival. I had a pleasure to translate Kira and support her feature that won Un Certain Regard at Cannes in 2021 and was submitted to Oscar race.

Pure pleasure and sheer excitement was to work with CORINTH FILMS on Andrei Konchalovsky’s new film ‘SIN.’ I was helping out with the promotion of the film and distribution during its U.S. premiere at Film Forum in January-February 2021.

Damn, I feel so lucky that I had an opportunity to contribute to this beautiful film. In 2019 I was hired by The New York Film Festival to translate filmmaker Kantemir Balagov on stage during his Q&A. It led to a 2020 collaboration with KINO LORBER as I helped them with the publicity and distribution of the film. Meeting Kantemir and working with him side by side was one of my favorite production gigs that I’ve done. Take a look at our Q&A and at some articles that I helped with translation.

In November 2015, U.S. Consulate Vladivostok in collaboration with independent producer Sasha Korbut has organized a photography exhibition of Nina Alovert. Emmy award winner photographer and ballet critic Ms. Alovert traveled to Vladivostok, Russia to present her photo exhibit called "The Gorgeous feature of My Dear Friends," opened at ARKA art gallery. Her works features famous Russian ballet dancers and writers, including Sergey Dovlatov, Joseph Brodsky, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Nikolai Tsiskaridze, and Diana Vishneva. After premiered in Vladivostok, Alovert’s exhibit has traveled to Khabarovsk and Birobidzhan.
